This project, which was the winner of the "Building of the Year Awards 2022", in the "Office" category, organized by the Archdaily.com portal, is a testimony to the exceptional lighting by Exporlux, highlighting the importance of artificial light within the building.
The headquarters of the law firm specialized in renewable energy was designed with a sustainable approach in which part of the concrete structure of a pre-existing house was reused. The expansion of the space by 50% was carried out using a metal structure and steel deck slabs, integrating additions and parts that not only expanded the built area, but also strengthened the original structure, allowing the removal of concrete pillars.
The new installations have been deliberately exposed, showcasing a design that highlights both functionality and aesthetics. The final configuration of the roof was obtained by preserving and reusing two existing concrete slab coverings, joining them through a third central section of metal roofing. The latter was designed with strategic openings to allow the entry of natural light and ventilation, optimizing the building's luminosity and internal environment.
