PCI - Creative Science Park Aveiro Region
PCI, Creative Science Park Aveiro Region, located in Ilhavo and promoted by the University of Aveiro in close cooperation with local municipalities and institutions such as Caixa Geral de Depósitos, is a pole of excellence for innovation, science and entrepreneurship in the Aveiro region. Created in 2010 and inaugurated in March 2018, PCI occupies about 35 hectares, welcoming 106 companies today, of which 40 are incubated, integrating approximately 1100 employees. The park stands out for shared laboratories, such as TICE and MAT+Agro, co-working spaces, prototyping (CNC, 3D printing, laser cut) and strategic support for technological and design projects.
With the ongoing 2025–2030 Strategic Plan, PCI reinforces its commitment to creative intelligence, the development of digital twins and units such as Tech Lab and Digital Factory, with a strong focus on sustainability, industrial design, food sciences, energy, and advanced technologies.
Since its foundation, Exploux has been the official supplier of lighting solutions for PCI, contributing decisively to the visual and functional identity of infrastructure. The supply of several high efficiency luminaires ensures well lit, safe and energetically sustainable work environments.
